Our mission is to provide free, private, and powerful PDF tools that work entirely without uploading your files to the internet.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect
This is arguably our most important section. Because our tools run entirely in your browser:
- Your PDF files: We never receive, transmit, or store any PDF file you open in PDFCraft. Files are processed locally by JavaScript running in your browser tab.
- File contents: We have no access to the contents, text, images, or metadata of any document you use on our site.
- Personal documents: Invoices, shipping labels, identity documents — none of it reaches our servers.
3. Information We Do Collect
We collect limited, anonymous information to operate and improve PDFCraft:
3a. Analytics Data (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how people use PDFCraft. This collects anonymized data including:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Which tools are used most frequently
- General geographic region (country/city level — not your exact location)
- Device type (mobile vs desktop), browser, and operating system
- How visitors found our site (search engines, social media, direct links)
This data is aggregated and anonymized. We cannot identify you personally from analytics data. Your IP address is anonymized before being processed. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
3b. Advertising Data (Google AdSense)
PDFCraft displays advertisements powered by Google AdSense. These ads help us keep all tools completely free. Google AdSense may collect and use certain information to show you relevant ads, including:
- Cookies stored in your browser
- Your approximate location (based on IP address)
- Your browsing behavior and interests (as determined by Google across its ad network)
- Device information such as screen size and browser type

Since we do not collect your personal files, there is no file data to retain or delete. Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 26 months as per Google Analytics default settings, after which it is automatically deleted. Cookie preference data is stored locally in your browser and is retained until you clear your browser data.

The security of your data is important to us. Since your files never leave your device, the most sensitive part of our service is inherently private by design. For information that does transit our servers (such as analytics pings), we use HTTPS encryption. However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
