Mahindra New LCV Pickup Truck VEERO
Mahindra’s new LCV is expected to launch soon and will compete with forward control vehicles like Ashok Leyland Dost and Tata Intra.
The Veero light commercial vehicle (LCV) was introduced today by domestic automaker Mahindra & Mahindra, with an ex-showroom starting price of Rs 7.99 lakh. The Mahindra Veero, which falls into the 2- to 3.5-ton range, is built on the new Urban Prosper Platform (UPP), India’s first multi-energy modular CV platform that can produce both electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) variants.
The UPP can handle a variety of powertrain options, such as diesel, CNG, and electric, and is designed to hold payloads ranging from one to two tons or more in various deck lengths. The Veero now comes with both diesel and CNG drivetrain options. Mahindra has not said when it plans to enter the market, despite the fact that an electric version will be available.
Two engine options are available for the new LCV: a 1.5-liter mDI diesel with a maximum power of 80 horsepower and a maximum torque of 210 Nm, and a turbo mCNG engine with a maximum power of 90 horsepower and a peak torque of 210 Nm. A manual transmission with five speeds is linked to both engines. With a 5-liter extra fuel tank, the Veero CNG is said to have a range of over 500 kilometers, while the Veero diesel is said to have a mileage of 18.4 km/l and 19.2 km/kg. Mahindra claims that the Veero would have a 20,000-kilometer service interval.
Mahindra’s new light commercial vehicle (LCV) pickup truck, the Veero, launched in India recently, is designed to set new benchmarks in the under-3.5-tonne segment. Built on Mahindra’s Urban Prosper Platform (UPP), the Veero supports diesel, CNG, and will eventually offer an electric option. This modular platform allows Mahindra to cater to a range of commercial needs, accommodating payloads from 1 to 2 tons and offering best-in-class safety, mileage, and cabin comfort.
